Breaking it into steps.

“When I really started to love myself, I understood that I am always and everywhere in the right place at the right time. From that moment, I could be at peace. Today I know that this is called self-worth.”
– Charlie Chaplin

When I read these words for the first time, they felt like a deep exhale.
Like finally realizing that life isn’t something to be chased or fixed — it’s something that unfolds perfectly, even when we don’t see it yet.

Over time I’ve learned that every situation, every pause, every detour carries its own kind of usefulness.
There is benefit in everything, even in the moments that look like nothing is happening.

This morning, for example, I woke up at 6 to go for a run. I had just started my warm-up when my husband came out carrying our daughter in his arms. She had just woken up and was crying, she wanted to be with me.

For a second, I felt that familiar wave of frustration.
That tiny thought: “I just started… why now?”
But then I took a breath.

I went back inside, and we spent a slow, beautiful morning together. We laughed, cuddled, shared breakfast. Lately, since I started working again, we’ve had less time like that, so this unexpected moment became a quiet gift.

Looking back, I can see so much goodness in it.
So much benefit.
The run can always happen later, but that morning with her, I won’t get it back.

And that’s what I mean when I say: there is use in everything.
Even when life interrupts your plans, it’s still giving you something, if you let it.

Who decides that something is “good” or “bad”?
Who defines what’s productive, what’s wasted, what’s valuable?
It’s always us.
Each of us sets our own lens.

When we start to notice the good, even in what seems unwanted, more of that good begins to arrive.
Because the moment we shift our focus from lack to value, life mirrors that back.

Everything holds benefit.
Everything teaches.
Everything : even the stillness, the waiting, the chaos, has meaning.
And maybe that’s what self-worth really is:
trusting that wherever you are, whatever happens, there is something here for you.

If you’re reading this, take it as a sign.
A sign to look closer at all the quiet gifts you receive each day.
Because every day, every single one, is a stream of opportunities waiting to be noticed.
Twenty-four hours filled with chances to see, to learn, to grow, to love.

A.
