For a long time, I thought my problem was my mind.
Too many thoughts. Too much analysis. Endless loops.
I tried to fix my thinking.
But thinking was never the issue.
Resistance in the body was.
What resistance really is
Resistance isn’t weakness or self-sabotage.
It’s the body staying tense to feel safe.
When the body is in resistance:
- the mind creates stories
- thoughts spiral
- everything feels urgent or wrong
The mind isn’t broken.
It’s responding to a body that doesn’t feel safe.
Why can’t peace be thought into existence
Peace isn’t a belief.
It’s a physiological state.
As long as the body is braced and controlled,
the mind has no choice but to look for problems.
That’s why so much “inner work” stays stuck in the head
and never truly lands.
The moment things change
Change happens when resistance stops working.
When holding tension hurts more
than letting it go.
Then letting go isn’t a decision.
It’s a reflex.
What happens when resistance drops
Nothing dramatic.
There’s just:
- quiet
- clarity
- no inner friction
Thoughts still appear,
but they don’t spiral or take over.
Life doesn’t become perfect.
It simply stops being a fight.
The real key
The body leads.
The mind follows.
You don’t need to fix yourself.
You only need to stop maintaining resistance.
Peace doesn’t come from effort.
It appears when effort is no longer needed.
And that’s when things start to fall into place.
